FWIW, you get around 80 Eridium every time you kill the dragons, so, when you're ready for them, they're the best way to refill that "Eridium wallet". I can understand the desire to get a head or skin now, but even if you could handle the dragons now, it could be a while before you actually got a head or skin, and then there's a good chance that it could be for another character.
So it's probably not going to happen soon, IAC. With that in mind, maybe just put the head search on hold and come back when you've leveled up a bit more.
